Function:

Prelon Elasto rotary shaft seals operate by compression stress. Standard shaft seals operate by tensile stress at the lip after assembly onto the shaft. After the Prelon Elasto seal has been . tted into the housing, compression stress pushes the lip against the shaft. This fact allows limited eccentricities. Beginning damages are obstructed. In combination with special elastomere life time of Prelon Elasto shaft seals is considerably longer. The lip is designed that suspensions are better sealed than standard shaft seals.
